Frequently Asked Questions
Effective June 1, 2022 we will no longer be a contracted provider in EMI’s network.
We have been in network with EMI for many years and had hoped to remain in network. However, it has been increasingly difficult to remain in network and continue to provide the level of care that is so important to both you and us.
While this was a difficult decision, we believe this is what is best for our practice and our patients. The good news is that you can still remain a patient in our practice and we will continue to verify, explain, and maximize your dental benefits. Best of all, you will receive the same high level of care that you have come to expect.
What this means for you, as an EMI customer here in our office:
- You can remain a patient at Naisbitt Family Dentistry, despite this status change.
- We will continue to accept your insurance and submit claims on your behalf.
- EMI will now pay us as an out-of-network provider, and your out-of-pocket expenses will increase slightly depending on your specific plan.
You will likely receive a letter from EMI in the near future. In not so subtle language, this letter from EMI will recommend that you find another dentist. We hope that the experience you’ve had with us will encourage you to remain with our practice. However, if you choose to seek dental care from a new dentist, we will be happy to provide a copy of your patient record. Please know that we remain deeply committed to you and your oral health!
If you have any questions about your benefits and access to providers, you may wish to talk with your human resources benefits manager, as they determine these matters.
We are dedicated to providing quality care to our patients. We hope we can continue to be of service to you, and we look forward to your next visit! Please call with any questions or concerns.
